There are a variety. Check them out if you’re interested.
It’s important to have some way to communicate with people, even if everything on the internet is fake. I think that people are way too reliant on twitter, and… well, mostly twitter, honestly – but also other Web2.0 sites when Web1.0 is more than enough for you to say what you need. Much of the time, it seems that people just constantly post inane things, pictures of food, and spend too much time not thinking about what they’re doing. But it’s important to deliberate, sometimes, and I think presenting yourself is one of those occasions. Using a site like this forces you to think through what you’re going to say and post. You have to revise, and actually put a good foot forwards.
Suddenly, one day, Kotposter pointed this out to me, and I decided to do so. And I also realized I can do quite a few things. So I decided to let people know about them, and maybe help out while I’m here.
I also needed a place to put my writing. Writing is why I’m here, to begin with, so I wanted to show off my work. This site is primarily going to be a collection of articles, opinions, and short and long form stories that can be browsed at the convenience of whoever finds them interesting.
There is one, on port 6697. It is unmoderated, I can’t say I’m responsible for what goes on there, if anything does. The password can be given if you email me or know me. It caches messages, and I check it often. So if you NEED to get in contact with me, shoot me a message on there. But email is better.
It’s important to keep in touch with people.
